Overview

The NordicTrack Commercial S22i Studio Cycle is the most adventurous of the connected indoor bikes, built around iFit's globe-trotting trainer-led and scenic ride content. What sets it apart from rivals is the powered incline and decline: the frame physically tilts from a steep climb to a downhill grade, and during iFit workouts a trainer or the auto-adjust feature changes both incline and the silent electromagnetic resistance to match the terrain on screen. The 22-inch HD touchscreen pivots and tilts so it can also be used for off-bike strength, yoga and recovery sessions in the iFit library. A pair of three-pound dumbbells and a built-in fan add to the studio feel. The magnetic-style resistance is quiet and offers a wide range of digital levels, and the cushioned, fully adjustable seat plus multi-position handlebars suit long rides. As with all iFit machines, the experience leans heavily on an iFit subscription, which is a recurring cost on top of the hardware. The bike is large and heavy and does not fold.
