Sitting between the entry RW500 and the flagship RW900, the NordicTrack RW700 is the model for buyers who want a larger screen and a more substantial frame without paying top dollar. It carries a 14-inch HD touchscreen running iFIT, where trainers lead studio and destination rows around the world and can adjust your resistance automatically so you never break stroke to turn a dial. The resistance itself is a dual air-and-magnetic system: 26 silent magnetic levels give precise digital control, while the air flywheel adds a dynamic, wind-like response when you pull hard. The seat rides on a smooth inertia-enhanced rail, and the whole machine folds upward to stand against a wall, with front transport wheels for moving it. Compared with the RW500 you get a noticeably bigger display, a higher user weight rating and a sturdier feel; compared with the RW900 you give up the largest screen and a little polish to save several hundred dollars. The air element keeps it from being truly silent during sprints, and the best of the content requires an iFIT membership. As a well-rounded connected rower for serious home use, the RW700 is an easy recommendation in the mid-price tier.
