At this weight it is genuinely useful for learning: light enough for Turkish get-ups, halos, and the first stages of swing technique, while still being a real cast bell rather than a toy. The casting is a single piece with an integral handle, and the matte finish over the sculpting grips chalk and protects the painted detail. The handle is sized comfortably for one or two hands at this light load, and the flat base keeps it stable for floor drills and get-up transitions. Because it is decorative, you pay more than you would for a plain 8 kilo bell, and the hand-painted face will scuff if treated roughly, but the personality is the point.
