Overview

Titan made its name selling functional equipment at prices that undercut everyone, and the 45-pound Olympic Bumper is exactly that proposition applied to plates. Each disc is molded from virgin rubber with a steel insert hooked into the body, giving you a real bumper that can be dropped rather than a rubber-coated iron plate masquerading as one. The 17.7-inch diameter follows the IWF standard so a loaded bar rests at the correct height for Olympic lifts, and the matte surface carries raised lettering. The bounce is a little higher and the plate a little thicker than premium discs, which is the expected trade at this price, but the rubber is dense enough to hold up to regular garage-gym use. Weight tolerance is loose, so these are training plates rather than calibrated discs. Where Titan wins is sheer value: lifters building a first bumper set on a tight budget can outfit a full bar for far less than name-brand alternatives, and the plates last long enough to justify the savings.
